Which Battery should we choose for Inverter?
Inverter Battery are also of Two types 1. Tubular & 2. Flate Plate. Flate Plate batteries are economical and affordable. Flate plate batteries are used in normal power cut areas where duration is less. Flat plate batteries need more frequent battery maintenance. Tubular batteries are best for longer backups. Tubular Batteries have long life than Flate plate battery. Tubular Batteries are low maintenance batteries. Flate plate batteries need less time to charge. Warranty period of Flat plate batteries are generally less than tubular batteries.
How to calculate Battery backup time?
The formula for Battery backup time is Voltage of Battery x Battery capacity in Ah/ Total Power Load. In the above case if we use continuously 685 watts on 150ah single battery we will get back up of around 2.6 hrs. This is estimate backup time and can vary as per the usage of appliances and duration of use.
